Abstract
Since the introduction of ChatGPT in late 2022, academia has undergone a radical transformation in the use of artificial intelligence. While students widely adopted the tool, professors remain concerned about its impact. Initially skeptical, they now face the challenge of reinventing both assessment and teaching strategies in order to embrace these new tools while preserving personalized learning and critical thinking, and while acknowledging their environmental cost. Among researchers, AI has driven spectacular breakthroughs in many fields, especially in biomedical research, yet it still divides the scientific community over concerns about risks of errors and ethical issues.
