Les conformations des complexes Rag-GAP ne sont pas compatibles avec une activité GAP. L’arginine 164 de la folliculine (PDB 6ULG, [13]) (A) et l’arginine 78 de GATOR1 (PDB 6CES, [11]) (B), qui sont nécessaires à ces GAP pour stimuler l’hydrolyse du GTP, sont trop éloignées pour interagir avec le GTP, suggérant que ces complexes ne correspondent pas à la conformation compétente.
